Abstract
|
|
| The aim of this MOU is to facilitate the mobilization and recruitment of manpower between the two countries. Recruitment of manpower in India and its entry into Bahrain shall be regulated in accordance with the relevant laws, rules and procedures of the two countries (Art. 3).
In accordance with Art. 4, the placement of manpower under this MOU will be need based and all recruited employees shall be given protection under the labour law of Bahrain. The parties also agree to take steps to protect Indian employees not within the purview of the labour law. Art. 5 stipulates that every demand for employees shall include a specification of the duration of the contract and the conditions of employment. The agreement is valid for four years, subject to renewal for a similar period of time (Art. 13). |
