Gulf Labour Markets, Migration, and Population (GLMM) Programme

An international independent, non-partisan, non-profit programme hosted and supported by the Gulf Research Center. The programme provides data, analyses, and recommendations contributing to the improvement of understanding and management of Gulf labour migration, population, and labour markets, engaging with and respecting the viewpoints of all stakeholders.

1. Characteristics of data

Vital statistics data (births and deaths) are taken from the records of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention

The table presents the total number of live births who were registered in one of the health facilities and hospitals in the country during a specific calendar year.
It also includes children of citizens born abroad who were registered inside the country.
