In accordance with Art. 1, should the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) decide to cancel the work permit before the arrival of the foreign worker to the Kingdom, the fees shall be reimbursed. Moreover, in cases of transfer to another employer, the fees for the remaining months of the work permit validity shall be reimbursed The fee for requesting a change of the foreign worker’s profession shall be reduced to 10 BD (Art. 2). A penalty of 2 BD for every month shall be imposed on employers who fail to pay the monthly fee for a work permit issued to a foreign worker (Art. 3). |
