Round Table / Seminars
GLMM organised two other events:
On 8 April 2019 in Beirut, the GLMM organized in cooperation with the ILO Regional Office for Arab State a meeting of practitioners & policy researchers on the “Comprehensive Knowledge Base for GCC Labour Migration – State of the Art, Needs, and Ways Forward”.
On 9 and 10 March 2014 in Doha, the GLMM organized an invitation-only roundtable discussion on “Labour Migration in the Arab Gulf Countries: Issues, Data, Documents and Research” together with Qatar University’s Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI) and Gulf Studies Program (GSP). The meeting was attended by governmental and academic experts from all six GCC countries and from elsewhere.
